My first contacts with then Dr Plange Rhule was on the silver screen of GTV when he was the President of the Ghana Medical Association. I was impressed with him even as a young lad. He was a young professional and to be President of the GMA meant he was excellent I thought to myself. I will be so honoured to meet him I thought to myself.
As fate will have it, he became my Final Year Project Supervisor in 2005. I thoroughly enjoyed the tutoring. I made an A in my project work largely because of his guidance.
My professional career as a young pharmacist began in 2007 in Kumasi. Here again, Prof Plange Rhule was his humane self. With the pressure reps like me could give in the midst of the ‘madness’ of hundreds of patients to seen, tens of reps lined up to meet the prescriber, he was kind enough to give this young trembling rep a minute?. However he was all ears after work. Prof was the first to personally invite me to meet his golfing buddies at then Kumasi Gold Club.
Our personal and professional relationship thrived over the years.
The last time we met was at the tailor’s in Nov 2019. We both tried on new clothes we wished to buy and had a hearty chat. We planned to meet up again….and now, alas, here I am writing a tribute to you.
You impacted many Prof. We celebrate you.
Rest In Peace sir. Till we meet again..
