Prof. Jacob Plange-Rhule

My Teacher, My Father, My Mentor, My Friend

Isaac Nana Ogyefo

Prof, you left me in so much pain.

The last time we met at the launch of the cardiovascular guidelines you told me it’s been awhile and I should call you.

Why leave so early?

It was your influence on me that made me choose Internal Medicine as a specialty. You challenged me so much in my first year housejob in Team D. At the time I felt you were harsh only to realize you were refining me to become an excellent doctor. I miss ward rounds with you on Monday mornings.

My desire to pursue a PhD in Physiology is all due to your influence. You advised me to first pursue my membership and then take it up.

There is so much more guidance you offered and much more I needed from you.

Right from medical school till date I could easily call on you or Mummy if I faced any challenges.

Rest well Prof. Rest in Perfect peace.

Till we meet again Prof, rest with God.

I miss you so much Prof. You shall forever remain in my heart.
