Prof. Jacob Plange-Rhule

An ode to a great man

This is not the time to eulogise you with flowery words
Cos the words won’t do justice to our heartbreak
Your demise has struck hard at our chords
The chords and muscle fibres that you taught us about do break

You made lectures fun
You made us run
Run to hear the next joke
The STC anecdote
The GI conundrum
Now our hearts do drum
Drum in a hasty pace
In a haste, in a race.
A race to try and do what Superman did
Reverse time at top speed

So we can hear you lecture us all over again.
Prof, you will always have a place in our hearts
Etched in our minds and in our memories cast.

Fare thee well, Prof. Jacob Plange-Rhule.
Till we see you again.
